Climate

The typical maritime climate is mild all year round.  It is warm and sunny from May to October.  There are more than 2000 hours of sunshine per year which is a rarity in Northern France. The mild climate promotes the abundant flora (including mimosas, camellias, rhododendrons) and year-round participation in outdoor activities such as sailing, golf, bicycling, walking, and hunting for shellfish.

Brittany has warm summers with average temperatures of around 70-80 degrees and winter temperatures rarely falling below freezing especially in the south of the region.
